Job Description:Job Description The Group: Morningstar' s Business Development & amp amp Sales group is responsible for helping our advisor and institutional clients build their businesses and provide better outcomes for investors. The group is structured primarily along the following client segments: Advisor, Asset Management, Retirement, Redistributor, and Commodities & amp amp Energy. The Role: As a Sales Operations Analyst, you will assist with increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of Morningstar' s sales teams. You will do so by processing Morningstar renewals, analyzing the renewal pool, and working with a global team to optimize the renewal process. You will be part of a fast-paced team: beta-testing technology, executing recurring renewal tasks, and conducting research into current processes. Comfort with skill gained through repetition is required. An interest in systems-thinking is a plus. You will be responsible for obtaining a deep understanding of how our sales representatives currently go about their role, identify areas for improvement as well as recommend solutions, and help implement these solutions to ultimately allow our sales team to optimize results. You will also help analyze and evaluate sales territories and capacity, track sales metrics and efficiencies, as well as monitor key metrics. This position is based in our Chicago office. Responsibilities oExecute renewals with accuracy and efficiency. oMaintain and improve data integrity of core systems. oWork with global team to test, modify, and deploy processes to your location. oResearch, map, and communicate current processes to global team. oAnalyze and evaluate sales territories and capacity, reassigning accounts when necessary. oCompare sales metrics and activities, analyzing this data against the sales standards and best practices. oIdentify and help address non-selling activities in order to make the sales team more efficient. oCollaborate with sales managers and the marketing team to assign and distribute sales leads. oCreate and distribute monthly tracking & amp amp management reports (financial, quality, production, operational efficiency, market share, etc.) oIdentify process improvements that will eliminate as much of the above as possible, thereby allowing the role to focus on value-added activities. Requirements oMinimum of 3 years of data analysis experience, preferably in the financial services industry. oDemonstrated ability to work systematically and analytically using software, data, and metrics. oProficient in Microsoft Excel, Globe, and Salesforce.com. oExcellent time & amp amp task management, organizational, and analytical skills. oA bachelors degree is required. oDetailed oriented with a passion for ensuring accuracy. oCritical-thinking and willingness to pro-actively surface areas of improvement.
